High Profile is partnering with our client to identify a Business Intelligence Analyst – Financial Reporting for a contract-to-hire opportunity supporting a highly collaborative Finance, Accounting, and Technology team. This role is ideal for a data-driven professional who enjoys combining technical expertise with financial analysis to deliver meaningful reporting, improve data quality, and support business decision-making.
The Business Intelligence Analyst will play a critical role in developing, maintaining, and enhancing financial reporting, reconciliation frameworks, and business intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate has strong SQL skills, experience working with financial data, and a passion for transforming complex information into actionable insights.

What You'll Do
  • Develop, maintain, and deliver recurring and ad hoc financial reports and reporting processes
  • Design and maintain reconciliation frameworks across financial and operational systems to ensure data accuracy and consistency
  • Identify reporting discrepancies, perform root cause analysis, and recommend process improvements
  • Support financial data governance initiatives by maintaining reporting definitions, calculations, mappings, and documentation
  • Build, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions
  • Optimize SQL queries, data processes, and reporting workflows to improve efficiency and scalability
  • Maintain and enhance financial reporting datasets and analytical models
  • Partner with Finance, Accounting, IT, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver reporting solutions
  • Support broader business intelligence initiatives and cross-functional reporting needs

Job Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of experience in business intelligence, modeling, reporting, financial analysis, or related analytical roles
  • Strong Power BI, SQL and Excel skills required with experience querying, validating, and reconciling large datasets
  • Strong understanding of the general ledger and subledger flows
  • Strong technical expertise in data analytics & modeling, data warehousing, and reporting solutions
  • Experience developing financial, operational, or business reporting solutions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience supporting data governance, reporting standardization, and metric alignment across departments
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts and reporting insights to non-technical stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working within cloud-based data environments
  • Master's degree or relevant professional certifications
  • CPA, CFA, CMA, or similar certification preferred
  • Experience partnering with Finance and Accounting teams in a reporting or analytics capacity
