HR Generalist / Executive Assistant

Job Description

High Profile has partnered with our client, a purpose-driven, non-profit organization located in Uptown Dallas, to find a proactive, organized, and discreet professional to serve in a critical hybrid capacity as an Human Resources Generalist (70%) and Executive Assistant to the CEO (30%). This role is designed for a high-level multi-tasker who can balance strategic executive support with core HR operations.

The ideal candidate is a skilled communicator and problem-solver capable of managing confidential board relations, streamlining HR processes, and supporting the CEO in day-to-day operations and mission-driven initiatives.


Human Resources Operations

  • Life-cycle Management: Oversee the full employee life cycle, including refining onboarding procedures, conducting new staff orientations, and managing off-boarding standards.
  • Compliance & Records: Maintain HRIS systems and employee records in strict accordance with legal standards and internal policies.
  • Employee Relations: Address and document employment relations issues or grievances; process personnel action forms (Performance Plans, Wage Changes, Disciplinary Actions).
  • Policy Development: Develop and implement personnel policies; maintain and update the employee handbook to ensure compliance with current employment laws.
  • Benefits Administration: Act as the primary liaison to benefit providers and brokers. Lead the annual open enrollment process, including material distribution and employee communications.
  • Payroll Administration: Execute administrative payroll functions, including entering new hire data, processing pay rate adjustments, and managing benefit deduction updates and 403b contributions within the HRIS.


Executive Support & Board Relations

  • Executive Administration: Manage the President & CEO’s complex calendar, ensuring efficient scheduling and professional correspondence.
  • Board Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for the Board of Directors and associated committees (Executive, Planning, and Nominating).
  • Meeting Management: Coordinate logistics, prepare agendas, and maintain official records, minutes, and policy documentation for Board activities.
  • Strategic Support: Work directly with the President and Board Chair to ensure all organizational communications and reports are accurate and timely.

Job Requirements

What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 5+ years of experience in an HR Generalist or HR Coordinator role
  • 1+ year of experience supporting a senior-level executive
  • Experience managing benefits programs and employee relations required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills — someone who builds trust easily and maintains confidentiality
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and resourceful — comfortable juggling multiple priorities
  • Excellent responsive customer service focus and great team player
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with HR systems such as Paycor, Paychex, or ADP

She is now utilizing her expertise to manage our Human Resources placement division. Her background in Human Resources, combined with her keen eye for talent and understanding of her client’s needs, has led to her reputation for excellence within the staffing industry.

Jennifer also serves as High Profile’s Vice President of Talent Acquisition. She is actively involved with DallasHR, as well as the American Staffing Association’s Section Policy Council. Jennifer has earned her Professional in Human Resources (PHR), SHRM-CP (Society for Human Resource Management – Certified Professional), and CSP (Certified Staffing Professional) certifications.

Outside of the office, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her amazing daughter and friends, traveling, conquering projects around the house, and keeping up with her 4-legged fur-babies.
