High Profile has partnered with a well-established investment management firm to identify a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Staff Accountant to join its family office operating accounting team. Position Overview

The Senior Staff Accountant will support day-to-day accounting operations and play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records. This role requires strong technical accounting fundamentals, Excel proficiency, and the ability to respond quickly to ad hoc reporting needs. The position will be fully in-office during the first few months for onboarding and training, transitioning to a hybrid schedule thereafter.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and process employee expense reports
  • Prepare and post journal entries
  • Perform bank and general ledger account reconciliations
  • Reconcile, balance, and maintain general ledger accounts
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
  • Coordinate with internal departments to obtain transaction support and data
  • Assist with monthly close activities and ad hoc financial reporting
  • Research and resolve account discrepancies
  • Support additional accounting initiatives and projects as assigned


Compensation & Benefits

  • 401(k) plan with employer match: 50% up to 6% (3% maximum match);1–6 year vesting schedule

  • Paid Time Off (PTO):
    • Accrues at 10 hours per month (120 hours annually) in the first year
    • Available for use immediately; no waiting period
  • Paid Holidays:
    • Entire week off during Christmas
    • Half-day off prior to each major holiday (approximately 11 holidays per year)

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 2+ years of accounting experience
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (tables, formulas, lookups)
  • Demonstrated experience with:
    • General ledger reconciliations
    • Journal entries
    • Accounts payable and accounts receivable
    • Same-day or fast-turnaround ad hoc reporting

  • NetSuite
  • Expensify
