Job Description

High Profile has partnered with our client to find a highly skilled and strategic senior-level tax professional with extensive experience in tax management and financial operations. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of tax compliance, financial operations, and tax strategy to ensure the company’s financial success while maintaining compliance with tax regulations.


This role requires leading the development and execution of a comprehensive tax strategy to optimize the company’s tax position while adhering to all relevant laws and regulations. The candidate will provide high-level oversight of tax compliance activities, including federal, state, and local tax filings, while managing relationships with tax authorities and external advisors. Additionally, they will coordinate and manage tax audits, respond to inquiries from tax authorities, and provide strategic guidance on non-recurring transactions and tax law changes.


The ideal candidate will oversee critical financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, ensuring alignment with company objectives. They will guide the development of internal controls and processes to enhance financial and tax operations. Collaboration with senior executives, investors, and board members will be essential to provide insights into tax strategies and financial performance. Maintaining relationships with external auditors, consultants, and tax authorities will also be a key aspect of this role.


Strong communication skills are essential, with the ability to effectively collaborate at all levels of the organization and present complex financial information in a structured manner. Leadership proficiency is required to manage a team across various departments and oversee their work output. The candidate should be highly proficient in using an ERP system for tax accounting and have expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines are crucial. The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines is necessary. A problem-solving mindset, coupled with the ability to leverage internal and external resources effectively, will be critical to success in this position. Finally, the candidate must demonstrate strong time management skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 
  • CPA (or CMA) required
  • Minimum 10 years experience in tax strategy, compliance, and financial operations, with a background in public accounting and corporate environments
  • Experience in private equity backed or investor portfolio companies highly desirable
  • Proven ability to lead strategic initiatives while delegating operational tasks effectively
